Travel 2008

Our destinations for our year 2008 summer trip was a visit the North Eastern States.

Road To Chicago

We started with our pet holding her spot so she didn't miss the chance to get on board the RV. We first traveled by motor homing to Paducah, Kentucky and Metropolis, Illinois.

Chicago Visit

The Chicago visit was to see Scott and Tammy. Scott was able to get most of the week off from work (he’s the co-boss there) and so we spent quality time with him. Tammy went to the “salt mine” each day, but we enjoyed good times with her in the evenings.

New York and Connecticut and a visit with Judy

In New York we visited our long lost relatives. We did a stay over on Long Island with Marilyn’s aunts (our aunts) and visited cousins Nancy and John and their families as well. Then we traveled on to Southbury, Connecticut and a week visit with Judy and Anthony. Judy and Anthony had a nice reunion party at their home with our aunts, nephew and neighbors from the town where we had made our home for 19 years.

Massachusetts and Portsmouth, New Hampshire

We then traveled northward to tour the other New England states. We had a great 1st visit with Don’s cousin Mick (Crosbie) and Terry in New Hampshire. Mick was born in Ireland, the grandson of my grandfathers brother. We do hope to catch up with him again and again.

Maine

We visited the state of Maine for the first time in our lives, visiting Arcadia National Park and local sites. We stopped to see George and Barbara Bush’s in Kennebunk, Maine…. But they missed us!

Vermont and New Hampshire

Then onward to Vermont and New Hampshire (again). So, with the New England states checked off we have now visited every one of the “lower 48” in the motor home and spent at least a few days in each.

Home Again

This was the last trip for our pet (cat) Cricket, who traveled with us for over 100,000 miles, sadly we have to put her to sleep last month at age 15.

Like before... The wheel has turned and it's time for us to go home.
